Important!
The 3D Print API is shutting down on January 15, 2017. See our end of life notice for more information.
For two years, we’ve supported our developer community with their 3D printing needs by offering various solutions, first on the Spark 3D printing cloud platform, and subsequently on the Forge platform. However, after many discussions with the community about your needs, we’ve concluded that we can serve you best by focusing our resources on other APIs for Forge.
3D Print API¶a>
The 3D Print API allows developers to add 3D print preparation capabilities, such as slicing and repairing models, to any application.

It also provides an infrastructure for printer manufacturers to utilize the Forge platform so that their customers can manage their printers remotely.
Get started by taking a look at our mesh repair tutorial to see a typical workflow. The API Basics and Field Guide sections will help you understand the high-level concepts, and the API Reference section provides detailed information on using individual API endpoints.
